William Benjamin Underwood born 8-8-1834  died 2-23-1927.

He is the son of Jeremiah Meredith Underwood and Sarah Catherine Arnold.

He enlisted in the Confederate States Army on Aug. 28,1861, at Clarksville, Montgomery County, TN. He served in Co. A, 50 Tennessee Inf.
