Willie Rose was a soldier in the War of 1812. His wife Susan Powell Rose received a bounty land grant for his service in the War of 1812. Willie and Susan Powell Rose were married in Halifax county, North Carolina in 1803. They were the parents of many children, encluding my ancestor Wormley Rose. Willie Rose was the son of Elisha Rose and Pherby Rose from Halifax county, North Carolina and the grandson of William Rose and his wife Mary. Willie died shortly after 1840 and Montgomery county, Tennessee.
