Robert Armstead is buried in the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery in District 8 of Montgomery County, Tenn. about 10 miles northwest of Clarksyille off Highway 79

On one stone is: ROBERT ARMSTEAD June 29, 1761 - Sept. 8, 1853 A Revolutionary Soldier. MARY A., wife of Robert Armstead, May 19, 1776 -March 18, 1853.

Another stone is: Robert Armstead Jan. 4, 1804 - June 26, 1867

Will of Robert Armstead made Oct. 1846 - Rend. Oct 1853 mentions wife, Mary. S
Sons: John, Robert, Richard A., and Jesse
Daughters: Polly T., Betsy Ford, formerly Betsy Frazier.

Henritta, Rosanna, and Elizabeth Frazier.
