Vietnam War Soldier
I joined the Navy in Feb 1968. (San Diego Calif.). I served in
Vietnam from April 1970 until April 1971. I was assigned to The River
Patrol Boat Task Force 117 that was home based on the “Delta Hilton”
YRBM-20. We were responsible for protecting the Mekong and
Bassiac rivers up to the Cambodian border. I was discharged from
San Francisco Calif. In April of 1971 at the rank of Petty
Officer second class. I recently retired from the Tennessee
Valley Authority with 30 years of service.
