Howard Davis enlisted into the Navy. He reported to duty as AS Dec. 18, 1943 in Chattanooga, TN. He was 33 years old with a wife Laura Louise Eads Davis and three children at home. While in the Navy he worked as a cook. Howard was honorably discharged from US Navy Hospital Portsmouth, New Hampshire on March 24, 1945.

Howard served his country proudly and was missed greatly by his family while he was away.

Howard was the son of Walter Davis and Lula Frances Yarbrough.
