Services for Michael Ross Slayden, 34, of Cumberland Furnace, Tenn. were held Thursday, November 12, 1981 at 1 p.m. Bro. Charles Beecher conducted the services from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home. Burial was in Slayden Cemetery.

   Mr. Slayden died November 10, 1981. He was the son of the late Randall Slayden and his surviving mother Iris Uudelle Batson.. He was employed as a musician with Foster Group. He was a member of the Woods Valley Methodist Church and a member of Masonic Iron Lodge 11503.

   Survivors include his step-father, Eugene Thomason, Cumberland Fur­nace, Tenn.; his mother, Mrs. Iris Thomason, Cumberland Furnace; Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jones Batson, Cumberland Furnace; step­grandmother, Mrs. Kittie Thomason, Route 2, Charlotte; brother, Kevin Ray Slayden, Cumberland Furnace; step-brother, Larry Thomason, Cu­mberland Furnace; two step-sisters, Mrs. Mary Jo Richardson, Cumber­land Furnace and Mrs. Patty Jolly Tucson, Ariz.
