Orville Thornton Guardianship
Know all men by these presents that We HENRY D. THORNTON, CLAIBORN
HARRIS & STEPHEN HARRIS are held & firmly bound unto Sterling
Neblett, STEPHEN THOMAS & David Gould Esquires Justices
of the County Court of Montgomery their Successors or Successors Survivor
or Survivors their Executor Administration in the Sum of Five Thousand
Dollars in trust for the benefit of ORVALL THORNTON for the payment of
which we bind ourselves our heirs Executors or administrators jointly severally
sealed with our seals & dated this 16th day of October 1820.
The condition of the above obligation is this that whereas HENRY
D. THORNTON has this day been appointed Guardian for ORVALL THORNTON.
Now if the said Henry D. Thornton shall well & faithfully make true
returns & Settlements make with the County Court of Montgomery agreeable
to law during his said Guardianship and at the expiration thereof shall
well & faithfully account with the said County Court of Montgomery
& pay over to them or their order the property of said Orvall Thornton
which may have come into his hands by virtue of said Guardianship together
with the profits & that the said Henry D. Thornton Guardian as
aforesaid shall demean himself in all things relative to the said Guardianship
agreeable to law, then the above obligation to be void else to remain in
full force & Effect.
