Ray Wyatt, 43, died at 6:45 a.m. today in Clarksville Memorial Hospital following a five-week illness.  He was an employee of the B. F. Goodrich Co. for 26 years and was a resident of 2152 Allendale Drive.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. George Pitzer.  Burial will be in Greenwood.  Mr. Wyatt was born in Stewart County Dec. 18, 1926, but had lived in Montgomery County most of his life.  He was the son of J. E. and Mary Bagwell Wyatt, Clarksville, who survive.  He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and veteran of World War II.  Survivors besides his parents are his widow, Mrs. Joyce Yarbrough Wyatt; two daughters, Mrs. Brenda Andrews, Nashville; and Mrs. Rita Powers, Nashville; two brothers, Powell Wyatt, Nashville; and Paul Wyatt, Portland, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Carlene Midgley, El Paso, Tex.; two grandchildren.  Pallbearers will be Curtis Blane, Fred Biter, Ottis Smith, Edward Powers, Mitchell Smith, and Lynwood Jacobs.  He was a member of International Executive Board of URW.  The body is at Tarpley’s Funeral Chapel where it will remain until the funeral hour.

(Note:  Ray Wyatt was a great grandson of Mitchell James Wyatt, one of the Wyatt twins raised by Charles and Rachel Atkins Roper.  On his maternal side, he was a fourth great grandson of Rev. War soldier Lewis Atkins.)
