Mrs. Gertie Threatt, 73, died Tuesday at her home in Big Rock after a five-month illness.  Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Milligan’s Funeral Home, Dover, by the Rev. Morris Lee.  Burial will be in Wyatt’s Chapel Cemetery.  Mrs. Threatt was born in Stewart County, Sep. 3, 1897, the daughter of the late Matthew and Martha Wilson Butts.  Survivors include her husband, Ermon L. Threatt, whom she married Aug. 12, 1915; three sons, Lester and Roman, both from Big Rock; and Wayne Threatt, Dover; two brothers, Will and Lurton Butts, both of Clarksville; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  The active pallbearers will be the nephews.  Mrs. Threatt was a member of the Big Rock Baptist Church.
