Minnie Hogan Lehman Edwards
Apr 24, 1897 – Nov 19, 1986 

Minnie Hogan Edwards, 89, 208 Skyview Circle, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1986, at Memorial Hospital.  The funeral will be at 1 p.m., Friday, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with the Rev. Philip Ritter officiating.  Burial will be in Fort Donelson National Cemetery, Dover.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today.  Mrs. Edwards was born in Stewart County on April 24, 1897, the daughter of Richard T. and Sallie Wilson Hogan.  She was the widow of Chandler Edwards.  She was a homemaker and member of Madison Street United Methodist Church, where she was former flower chairman.  She also was a member of the Clarksville Garden Club and American Legion Auxiliary.  Survivors include a son, Charles Lehman, Anderson, SC; a daughter, Wilma Boarland, Clarksville; five sisters, Mattie Crockarell, Indian Mound; Lorene Gafford, Dover; Mabel Joiner, Clarksville; Elsie Morrow, Bloomington, IN; and Virginia Kay, Evansville, IN; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

(Note:  Minnie Hogan Edward’s paternal grandmother was Sarah Elizabeth Atkins who married John Randle Hogan.  This made Minnie a ggg granddaughter of Rev. War soldier Lewis Atkins.  Minnie was first married to Charles Lehman, Sr., son of German immigrant Charles W. Lehman of Stewart Co.)
