Shirley Ann Carroll, 35, Burkhart Trailer Court, Clarksville, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Memorial Hospital.  The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Anglin Memorial Chapel, Dover.  Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound.  She was born in Stewart County on Dec. 31, 1949, daughter of Otis and Tommie Atkins Austin.  She was a housewife.  Survivors include her husband, Jerry Carroll; two brothers, Charles Austin and William Austin, both of Monroe, MI; two sisters, Eva Morrison and Georgia Burns, both of Clarksville.

(Note:  Shirley Ann was a 4^th great granddaughter of Rev. War soldier Lewis Atkins, a 4^th great granddaughter of Joseph Green and Mildred Lee Thomason; a 4^th great granddaughter of Roland and Charlotte Gouge Hood.  She was a 3^rd great granddaughter of Bazel and Martha Hood Smith.)
