Thomas Henry Byrd

Thomas Henry Byrd, 85, retired farmer of Indian Mound, died Sunday at his residence following a short illness.  Services will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Anglin Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Carl Wilson.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound.  Mr. Byrd was born in Stewart County May 10, 1892, son of the late Gus and Alma Wyatt Byrd.  His wife, Mrs. Flossie Smith Byrd, died Jan. 3, 1973.  He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 303, Indian Mound.  Survivors are seven sons, Jimmy and Bobby Byrd, Dover; Kelly, Fred, William, and Smith Byrd, Indian Mound; Bill Byrd, Oak Ridge, TN; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Rodgers, Toledo, OH; a brother, Morris Byrd, Nashville; 14 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
