Haywood Isaac Wyatt

Haywood Isaac Wyatt, 84, Dover, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1993, at Manor House of Dover after an extended illness.  The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover with the Rev. Glen Tieman officiating.  Burial will be in Heflin Cemetery, Dover.  Visitation will continue at the funeral home until the hour of service.  He was born  Feb. 22, 1908, in Stewart County, a son of W. T. Wyatt and Willie B. Wall Wyatt.  He was the widower of Frances H. Crain Wyatt.  He was an electrician, a Methodist, and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.  Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Elliott and Norma J. Jackson, both of Dover; a sister, Irene Knight, Dover; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  Grandsons will be pallbearers.

(Note:  Haywood Isaac Wyatt’s mother was a daughter of Mary Pearl Atkins and William Alexander Wall, making Haywood a gg grandson of Rev. War soldier Lewis Atkins.  On his father’s side, he was a grandson of Winnie Smith and Mitchell J. Wyatt, one of the Wyatt twins raised by Rachel Atkins and Charles Roper in Stewart Co.  He was a great grandson of Bazel and Martha Hood Smith.)
