Roberta Pearl Wyatt Wilson
Nov 24, 1913 – May 29, 1984

Roberta Pearl Wilson, 70, of Route 3 Dover, died Tuesday in Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.  The funeral will be at Anglin Memorial Chapel at 10 a.m., Friday, with the Rev. Bryan Fyke and the Rev. George Sanford officiating.  Burial will be at the Wyatt Cemetery.  A native of Stewart County, she was born Nov. 24, 1913, a daughter of Douglas and Beulah Atkins Wyatt.  She was married to Herman Lee Wilson.  She was a member of the Wyatt Chapel United Methodist Church.  Survivors include three daughters, Opal Pope, Saudi Arabia; Thelma Castile, Indian Mound; and Vickie Riggins, Dover; a brother, Henry Wyatt, Big Rock; six sisters, Hattie Smith, Oak Ridge, Christine Lewis, Allensville, KY; Eudora Threatt, Hazel Wortham and Mrs. Marvin Wilson, all of Dover; Ellen Threatt; and nine grandchildren.  Family visitation will be at the funeral home until time of the service.

(Roberta Pearl’s paternal grandparents were Winnie Smith and Mitchell Wyatt, one of the Wyatt twins raised by Rachel Atkins and Charles Roper in Stewart County.  On her maternal side, she was a gg granddaughter of Rev. War soldier Lewis Atkins.)
