Sally Bardee Smith

Services for Mrs. Sally Bardee Smith, 72, will be at 3 p.m. today at Big Rock Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Smith Cemetery.  The body is at Milligan Funeral Home.  Mrs. Smith died Saturday at the Clarksville Nursing Home.  She was a native of Stewart County.  Survivors include three sons, William, Pulaski, Tenn.; Roy, Clarksville; and Sgt. Ray Smith, U.S. Air Force, Germany; a daughter, Mrs. John Parker, Big Rock; a brother, Ernest Bardee, Ypsilanti, Mich., and four grandchildren.

(Note:  Sally was the daughter of James and Adeline Bardee, who moved to Stewart Co., TN, from KY, between 1885 and 1890.  Sally’s husband, Leslie R. Smith, 1889-1956, also buried in Smith Cemetery, was a son of Callie Wyatt and James Allen Smith, founders of Smith Cemetery in Stewart Co., TN.)
