Herbert Brandon Smith, 43, electrician of Indian Mound, died Wednesday after suffering an apparent heart attack in City Jail, Clarksville.  Funeral services will be conducted at  2 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Delbert Homol.  Burial will be in Ft. Donelson National Cemetery.  Mr. Smith was born in Stewart County Nov. 20, 1932, son of Mrs. Georgia Threatt Smith and the late W. F. Smith.  He was a member of the Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Korean War.  Survivors in addition to his mother are two sons, Mark Smith, Erin, TN; and Scott Smith, Indian Mound, TN; three daughters, Misses Tina, Karen and Greta Smith, all of Indian Mound; three brothers, John and William, Hopkinsville, KY; Bruce Smith, Indian Mound; and two grandchildren.  Pallbearers will be Chuck Smith, Bobby Smith, Curdene Lehman, Bennie and J. B. Mann, and Joe H. Gilliam.

(Note:  On his maternal side, Herbert Brandon Smith was a ggg grandson of Rev. War soldier Lewis Atkins.)
