Thelma Pollard Atkins

Thelma P. Atkins, 86, General Care Convalescent Center, died Monday at Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.  The funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel, with the Rev. John Stiles officiating.  Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today.  Mrs. Atkins was born in Montgomery County on May 27, 1899, the daughter of Joseph Henry Pollard and Etta Buck Pollard.  She was a homemaker, the widow of Walter Lee Atkins and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1410 Golf Club Lane.  Survivors include two sons, Robert W. Atkins, Clarksville; and Joseph Harold Atkins, Fayetteville, Ga.; a sister, Sadie G. Pollard, Clarksville; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
