Ashland City, TN –Monroe C. Walker died suddenly, Friday, October 25, 1963.  Survived by his wife, Mrs. Birdie Lehman Walker; 12 children: Daughters:  Mrs. Billy Holt, Clarksville; Mrs. E. W. Morrow, Mrs. Carl Morrow, Miss Mary Florence Walker, all of Clarksville; Shirley, Nita, Anne, Nancy, Susie Walker.  Sons:  Monroe, Jr., James Edward and Johnnie Walker, all of the Bethel Community. Sisters:  Mrs. Bailey James, Mrs. Darrell Cato and Mrs. J. T. Lehman, all of Clarksville.Brothers:  Marvin of St. Bethlehem; Cecil and Edward Walker of Illinois.The remains are at Lockert & Blankenship Funeral Home in Ashland City.  Arrangements incomplete.  Lockert & Blankenship Funeral directors in charge.

(Note:  Monroe was the son of Martin and Tina Walker.  Martin Walker was the son of Mary Catherine Atkins Walker whose great grandfather was Rev. War soldier Lewis Atkins.)
