Louise Atkins Sexton

Louise Sexton, 79, 22 E. Bel Air, died Wednesday, March 8, 1989, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, after a short illness.  The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Dover.  Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and until the hour of the service Saturday.  She was born Feb. 23, 1910, in Cumberland City, a daughter of Dr. Orman and Jessie Parchman Atkins.  She was a retired piano instructor and member of the Methodist Church.  Survivors include her husband, Earl Sexton, Clarksville; a son, Edward Sexton, Oak Ridge; two daughters, Margaret Sumner, Clarksville, and Ruth Seirp, Las Cruces, N.M.; two sisters, Mary McCracken, Madison and Elizabeth Adams, Statesboro, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.  In lieu of other memorials, donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association or to a favorite charity.
