Ophia Wyatt Clements

Ophia Wyatt Clements, 68, of 1 Lacy Lane, died Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.  Services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, at Tarpley’s Chapel with the Rev. John W. Casey officiating.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.  Mrs. Clements was born Nov. 19, 1914, in Stewart County and was the daughter of the late Leonidas Wyatt and Lettie Lewis Wyatt.  She was a housewife and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.  She is survived by her husband, Thomas Lester Clements; one sister, Elsie Wyatt Carobene, Clarksville; two nieces; and two nephews.  Pallbearers will be Thomas Elliott, Wilton Wyatt, Herschel Harrison, Paul Conner, Harold Ellis, Eugene Lewis, Powell Wyatt and Louis Marshbanks.

(Note:  Ophia was a great granddaughter of Mitchell James Wyatt, one of the Wyatt twins raised by Rachel Atkins and Charles Roper in Stewart Co., TN.  Ophia was a great great granddaughter of Bazel and Martha Hood Smith.)
