G. Bruce Smith, 50, of the Indian Mound Community, died January 20, 1981 in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Nashville.  Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan 22, at Anglin Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Vaughn officiating.  Burial was in Fort Donelson National Military Cemetery.  He was born in Stewart County June 20, 1930.  His father was the late Franklin Smith.  Survivors are his mother, Georgia Threatt Smith, two brothers, John and William J. Smith, all of Hopkinsville, KY.  He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with the US Army.  Pallbearers were Curdine Lehman, Joe Gillum, Bobby Smith, Benny Mann, Billy Tyson and John Katong.
