Oscar Houston Lewis

The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle, Clarksville, Tenn., published Aug 25, 1968:  Services for Oscar Houston Lewis, 62, will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at Wyatt Chapel Methodist Church by the Rev. W. I. Holder, the Rev. Clyde Brake and the Rev. Harold Graves.  Burial will be in Red Top Cemetery.  Mr. Lewis died early Saturday morning at his residence on Dotsonville Road.  He was born in Stewart County Jan. 27, 1906, a son of the late Willie and Ella Givens Lewis.  He was a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church.  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marie Atkins Lewis, to whom he was married Dec. 11, 1927; two sons, Edwin Lewis and Teddy Lewis, both of Clarksville; three daughters, Mrs. Porter Jenkins and Mrs. Ora Sliegh, both of Clarksville, and Mrs. Eugene Bryant, South Gate, Mich.; a brother, Allan Lewis, Clarksville; four sisters, Mrs. Louis Atkins and Mrs. Hillman Key, both of Clarksville; Mrs. Rymon Bryant and Mrs. Walter Bryant, both of Indian Mound; and eight grandchildren.  Nephews will serve as pallbearers.  The body will be at Milligan's Funeral Home in Dover until time of services
