Rites for William Wall

Services for William Norvell Wall, 73, retired farmer, were held Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. at Big Rock Methodist Church, Bro. Howard Springer officiating.  Burial was in the Smith Cemetery.  Mr. Wall, a native of Stewart County, died Tuesday at his home after an illness of two years.  He was a member of the Big Rock Methodist Church.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Doshie Wall; four sons, John N. and Paul Ray, Big Rock; William Thomas, Evansville, Ind., and Charles Clifton Wall, Herndon, KY; five daughters, Mrs. Pauline Griffin, Hopkinsville; Mrs. Hazel Taylor, Bumpus Mills, Mrs. Birdie Lockwood, Tennyson, IN; Mrs. Ma__ Lee Taylor and Miss Shirley Wall, Big Rock; a brother Wilber Wall, Adams, TN; and a sister Mrs. Birdie Walker of Indian Mound, TN.

(Note:  William Norvell Wall (1890-1963) was the son of  Rachel Miranda Threatt Wall and Norvell Alexander Wall.  He was a great grandson of Charles and Rachel Roper.)
