Final rites for S/Sgt. J.C. Gafford. 22, killed in the B-36 crash near Spokane, WA, were held Friday at 1 p.m: at the Rose Valley Methodist Church with the Rev. Delwyn Fryer pastor, and the Rev. Wesley Wilder officiating.  J. B. Wofford had charge of the beautiful song service with Mrs. I. S. Crockarell at the piano. Burial was in the Fort Donelson National Cemetery at Dover.  Milligan and Ridgeway in charge. There was a large floral offering. Sgt. Gafford's body arrived in Guthrie, KY, Thursday morning at 8:30 o'clock and was conveyed to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gafford, Route 2, Indian Mound to await burial. Surviving are his parents; his widow, Mrs. Ann Vaughn Gafford; two sisters, Mrs. Christine Davis, Danville, KY; and Betty June Gafford, Route 2, Indian Mound; a brother, Joe Gafford, also of Route 2, Indian Mound; his maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs. R. T. Hogan, Dover and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Annie Gafford, Route 2, Indian Mound.
