Charles Clifton Wall
Jan 3, 1932 – Nov 29, 1975 

Services for Charles Clifton Wall, 43, Rt. 1, Oak Grove, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hughart Funeral Home.  The Revs. Hobert Lyle and Bryan McGuffy will officiate with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.  Mr. Wall died at 5:45 a.m. today at his home of an apparent heart attack.  A native of Trigg County, he was born Jan. 3, 1932, the son of Mrs. Doshie Walker Wall, Big Rock, Tenn., and the late William N. Wall.  He was a farmer and an Army veteran of the Korean War.  He was a member of the Herndon United Methodist Church.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Helen Boyd Wall; one son, Clifton Earl Wall, and two daughters, Misses Teresa and Helen Evyonne Wall, all of the home; three brothers, William of Evansville, Ind., John of Big Rock; and Paul Ray Wall, Paris, Tenn.; and five sisters, Mrs. Pauline Griffey, Hopkinsville; Mrs. Bertie Slayton, Evansville; Mrs. Hazel Taylor, Bumpus Mills, Tenn.; Mrs. Mary Taylor and Mrs. Shirley Morgan, both of Big Rock.

(Note:  Charles Clifton Wall was a great grandson of Martha L. Roper and Matthew James Threatt.  He was a 2nd great grandson of Rachel Atkins and Charles Roper and a 3rd great grandson of Rev. War soldier Lewis Atkins and his wife Rebecca.)
