Thomas Monroe Wyatt, 62, of Dover, died Saturday, January 22 at Dover Clinic.  Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 24, at Anglin Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Brian Fyke officiating.  Burial was in Heflin Cemetery.  Mr. Wyatt was a retired civil service employee, a veteran of WWII and a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church.  A native of Stewart County, he was born Feb 22, 1920, a son of the late Thomp and Willie Bell Wall Wyatt.  Survivors include his wife, Maxine Sykes Wyatt; two sons, Randall Lewis Wyatt, Dover and Tommy Ray Wyatt, Hampton, VA; a daughter, Kathy Elaine Mayer, Clarksville; a brother Haywood Wyatt, Dover; a sister, Irene Knight, Dover, and three grandchildren.  Pallbearers were G.W. Wyatt, Jr., Milton Miracle, William Bauer, Perry Knight, Ray Williams and Dean Elliott.

(Note:  Thomas Wyatt was a grandson of Mitchell James Wyatt, one of the Wyatt twins raised by Charles and Rachel Atkins Roper in Stewart Co., TN.  He was the great grandson of Bazel and Martha Hood Smith.  His mother, Willie Bell Wall Wyatt, was a great granddaughter of Rev War soldier Lewis Atkins and his wife Rebecca.)
