Robert Wall Howell Dies

Funeral services were held May 29, at 2:00 p.m. for Robert Wall Howell, retired farmer of  Route 1, Bumpus Mills.  Burial was in the Union Hill Church Cemetery.  Rev. W. R. Carroll officiated, assisted by Rev. Leslie Porter.  Howell, the son of John and Nannie Wall Howell, was born September 30, 1880 in Stewart.  He had resided in Trigg County, Kentucky, for the past fifteen years.  Howell was married to the former Mary Evelyn Ross, who died in 1913.  He is survived by three sons, Lawrence Howell, Livonia, Michigan; Lennis Howell, Hopkinsville, Kentucky; John Howell, Bumpus Mills, and one brother, Fred Howell, Bumpus Mills.

(Note:  Robert Wall Howell was the grandson of Priscilla Moore and William Carroll Howell; and is believed to have been the great grandson of William Howell and Mary Atkins Howell; and the gg grandson of Rev. War soldier Lewis Atkins and his wife Rebecca.)
