Edward Roman Threatt
Funeral services for Edward Roman Threatt, 62, Route 1, Big Rock, will be held today at 2 p.m. at Anglin's Funeral Home chapel in Dover with the Rev. Carl Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Wyatt's Cemetery, Dover. Threatt was born July 6, 1922, in Stewart County. He retired from the Exxon Oil Company in Clarksville. He died Monday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Wyatt Threatt; two sons, Charles and Jackie Threatt; a daughter, Joyce Seay, Amherst, VA; a brother, Lee Threatt, Big Rock; and five grandchildren. His parents, Ermon Threatt and Gertie Butts Threatt are deceased. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
(Note: Edward Roman Threatt was a great grandson of Martha L. Roper and Matthew James Threatt. He was a 2nd great grandson of Rachel Atkins and Charles Roper. He was a 3rd great grandson of Rev. War soldier Lewis Atkins and his wife Rebecca.)
