William “Butter” Smith, 55, Hopkinsville, KY, died Tuesday, June 5, at his home.  The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 7, at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, with the Rev. John Vaughn officiating.  Burial was in the Seay Cemetery in Indian Mound.  He was a maintenance worker.  He was born June 18, 1928 in Stewart County, a son of William F. and Georgia Threatt Smith.  Survivors include a brother, John Smith, Hopkinsville, KY.  Pallbearers were Scott Smith, Mark Smith, John Smith, Jesse M. Lewis, David Hicks and Bill McRee.
