Emma Weakley Long
Feb. 4, 1918 – Apr 15, 1976

Mrs. Emma Long, 58, died at her residence, St. Bethlehem Community, Thursday night after a short illness.  She was an employee of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.  Services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at McReynolds Funeral Home by the Rev. Morris Lee.  Burial will be in Riverview.  Mrs. Long was born Feb. 4, 1918, in Stewart County, daughter of the late James W. and Lucy E. Hogan Weakley.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, St. Bethlehem.  Survivors are her husband, Phillip L. Long; a daughter, Mrs. Warren Easterling, and one son, Wayne Long, all of Clarksville.  Pallbearers will be Rob, Bobby, and Joey Long; Buford and Butch Thaxton; Billy Robinson, Joe Davenport, and Rhett Clements.

(Note:  Emma Weakley Long was a granddaughter of Sarah Elizabeth Atkins and John Randle Hogan; a great granddaughter of Dolly Vickers and James J. Atkins; a gg granddaughter of Lucy and William S. Atkins; and a ggg granddaughter of Rev. War soldier Lewis Atkins.)
