Eula Mary Lewis

Mrs. Eula Mary Lewis, 82, of Route 1, Woodlawn, Tenn., died Monday night at 10 o’clock in Clarksville Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.  Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. at Milligan Funeral Home by the Rev. W. I. Holder and Rev. Lonnie Skiles.  Burial will be in Red Top Cemetery near Indian Mound.  Mrs. Lewis was born in Stewart Co., Feb. 16, 1889, daughter of the late William and Lucy Lewis.  She was a member of the Woodlawn United Methodist Church and was the widow of Elbert Guy Lewis who died Jan. 3, 1970.  Survivors are three sons, Virgil, Indian Mound; Basil, Woodlawn; and Elbert Lewis, Granite City, Ill.; five daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Beasley, Mrs. Ruth Smith, Mrs. Rosetta Smith, and Mrs. Laura Butts, all of Clarksville, and Mrs. Robbie Hodge, Maryville, Tenn.; 26 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

(Note:  On her maternal and her paternal sides, Eula Mary Lewis was a gg granddaughter of Rev. War soldiers, Thomas Lewis and Lewis Atkins.)
