Claude L. Harrison

Claude L. Harrison, 73, 584 Dover Road, died Thursday at Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sykes Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Bobby Krail and Marvin Hines officiating.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Friday.  Harrison was retired from the B. F. Goodrich Co., and was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church.  He was born May 16, 1910, in Stewart County, and was the son of the late Willie “Will” Harrison and Callie Wyatt Harrison.  Survivors include his wife, Louise Harrison Harrison; two sons, Elzie Harrison, Chandler, IN; and Paul Dean Harrison, Clarksville; one daughter, Mrs. Bill Killebrew, Clarksville; four brothers, Lee Grant Harrison; Angis Harrison; Earl Harrison and Herschel Harrison, all of Clarksville; two sisters, Mary Keatts, Clarksville; and Dorothy White, MD; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Pallbearers will be Stanley Harrison, Dean Harrison, Wayne Harrison, Nolen Keatts, Charles Harrison, Timothy Harrison, Freddie Harrison, Vernie Harrison and Willard Harrison.

(Note:  On his maternal side, Claude was a great grandson of Winnie Smith and Mitchell James Wyatt, one of the Wyatt twins raised by Charles and Rachel Atkins Roper in Stewart Co.  He was the gg grandson of Bazel and Martha Hood Smith.)
