Mrs. Lillian V. Atkins, 84, died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at her residence, 406 Beech Street after an extended illness.  Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. at Blooming Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. H. R. (Sonny) Wise.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Tarpley’s Funeral Home in charge.  Mrs. Atkins was born in Stewart County, March 20, 1893, daughter of the late Richard and Mary Burkhart O’Brien.  She was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church.  Survivors are her husband, Richard C. Atkins; a son, Charles Atkins, Clarksville; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Dunn, Bumpus Mills; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.  Pallbearers will be Donald Jones, Charles Milligan, Roy Wise, Orman Ellis, William Ellis, Dale Dunn, James and John Wilkerson.  The body will be at the funeral home until the hour of service
