Mrs. Dora Griffin Dies, Rites Tuesday 

        Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Dora Griffin, 75, of Indian Mound were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Christ, Big Rock.  Willie Long officiated and burial was in the Smith Cemetery, Milligan Funeral Home in charge.  A life resident of Stewart County, she was a daughter of the late Norvel A. and Rachel Maranda Threatt Wall.  Her husband, William Morris Griffin, died August 4, 1959.  She was a member of the Church of Christ.  Survivors in addition to her sister are two brothers, Wilber A. Wall and William Wall. Pallbearers were Clinton Lee Walker, Leaborn C. Walker, Wilbern A. Walker, W. B. Burkhart, Pete Grizzard and James Ezell.

(Note:  Emma Dora Griffin was a great granddaughter of Charles and Rachel Atkins Roper)
