Deed from JOHN and ELIZABETH LOVE to LEVIN and CUTHBERT POWELL
Indenture made this 8th day of December 1797, between John Love of Prince
William county, Virginia, and Elizabeth, his wife, and Levi
Powell and Cuthbert Powell of the town of Alexandria, Virginia, for and
in consideration of the sum of three thousand five hundred dollars to him
in hand paid, for a tract of land containing six hundred and forty acres,
lying on the Sulphur fork of Red River, joining the west boundary of Jacob
McCarty and the north boundary of Humphrey Hogan. Also a tract containing
six hundred and forty acres lying in Sumner county on Martin's Creek.
Also a tract containing six hundred and forty acres lying on the south
side of Cumberland River on the east fork of Yellow Creek. Also a tract
containing six hundred and forty acres lying on the south side of Cumberland
River, on Capt. William Goodman's south boundary line. Also a tract
containing six hundred and forty acres, lying on the south side of
Cumberland River. Also a tract of land containing six hundred and
forty acres, lying on the south side of Cumberland River. Also a
tract of land containing six hundred and forty acres lying on the
Cumberland River, near the west fork of Bud's Creek. Also a tract of land
containing six hundred and forty acres, lying on Spring Creek, a branch
of Red River. Also a tract of land containing six hundred and forty
acres, lying on the waters of Red River. Also several other tracts
of land, being in all ten thousand three hundred and twenty acres.
