G1-11-1 JOSEPH1 THOMAS POWELL was born June 1828 in Tennessee.  He married Rebecca Blanton on Feb. 15, 1852 in Montgomery County, TN.  He died at 77 years old on Feb. 15, 1905 in Oak Plains, TN.  He is buried in what is now Blanton Cemetery (was Wiley Steward burying Grounds) on Hinton Road in Montgomery County, TN.  Rebecca Blanton, daughter of Martha Blanton) was born in Jun 1830 in Tennessee.  She died May 4, 1904 in Montgomery County, TN, and is buried in Blanton Cemetery in Montgomery County, TN.

G2-11-1 MARY2 POWELL (JOSEPH1 POWELL) was born approximately 1855 in Tennessee.  It is suspected that she married Robert Baird on Aug. 21, 1876 in Montgomery County, TN and Lewis Smith before her father's death in 1905.

G2-11-2 GEORGE2 THOMAS POWELL (JOSEPH1 POWELL)was born Jan. 8, 1862 in Cheatham County, TN.  He married Mary Matilda Stewart on Jul. 8, 1882 in Montgomery County, TN.  George died at age 82 on Jul. 2 or 3, 1944 in Oak Plains, TN.  He and Mary are buried in Stewart's Family Cemetery in Cheatham County, Tennessee.

She is buried with her husband and daughter Annie in Stewart Family Cemetery in Cheatham, Co., TN, the G. T. stands for George Thomas, Annie must have been the living Powell on my chart}

G2–11-3 WILLIAM2 HENRY POWELL (JOSEPH1) was born May 6, 1867-8 or Jan. 1865 in Cheatham County, TN.  He married Virginia Tennessee Stewart on Dec 18, 1887.  where?, daughter of Willie B. Stewart and Emily Stroud.  William died at age 95 on Mar 9, 1963 after a 9 day stay at Central State in Nashville, TN.  He lived in Cheatham County.  William and Virginia were buried by Philips-Robinson and share a grave stone in Stewart Family Cemetery, in Cheatham County, TN.

G2-11-4 JAMES2 TIMOTHY POWELL (JOSEPH1) was born on Apr. 1, 1875 in Montgomery County, TN.  He died Oct. 5, 1945 in Oak Plains, TN.  On Feb. 12, 1895 in Cheatham County, TN, he married Zipporah Jane Owen (daughter of Thomas Alexander Owen and Jane Elizabeth Fox) who was born on May 22, 187?, and died on Jun 27, 1953 in Montgomery County, TN.   Both James and Ziporah are buried in Gupton's Cemetery in Nepture, TN.
