We, John Neblett Jr, John Neblett Sr, John Steele,
William Newell, William
Peay and Burrell Bayliss, are bound to the Governor
in the sum of twelve
thousand five hundred dollars, this 16th day of
July 1816. The condition of
the obligation is such that John Neblett Jr, is
appointed Sheriff of
Montgomery County. If he does pay and satisfy feels
and all sums of money
collectedby him and faithfully executes the duties
of his office, then this
obligation to be void, else to remain in full force.
