The records from the Bible of Abner and Mary Ann (Bell) Hunter were copied by their great grand daughter, Edna (Zornos) Cabler, 4908 Log Cabin Rd., Nashville, Tennessee. Since the title page of the Bible is missing it is impossible to determine the exact date of publication. However, an attempt was made to establish the approximate date by writing the American Bible Society, New York, publishers. According to their letter it was published in 1842-44. The information in parentheses was added by Mrs. Cabler.

ABNER HUNTER was born April the 6th 1819

MARY ANN HUNTER was born the 15th day of September 1822.

ABNER HUNTER was married December 5, 1839 to MARY ANN BELL.

THOMAS HUNTER, SEN., the father of Abner Hunter departed this life on the 15th of March 1836.

JUDITH BELL the wife of Thomas S. Bell Jr. departed this life the 6 of October 1841. (Her maiden name was Shearin Shearon Shearron dau. of Sterling Shearin and Anne Williams Shearin of Warren Co., N. C. Sterling Shearin married Anne Williams in Warren Co., N. C. on Oct 10,1788. Incidently, this was the same day (Oct 10, 1788) that Thomas S. Bell, Jr. was born in Warren Co., N. C. On Dec. 20, 1809 Thomas Bell, Jr. married Judah (Judith-Judy) Shearin in Warren Co., N. C. They moved to Tennessee with Sterling Shearin before 1812. Thomas Bell, Jr lived in Montgomery County in the part that is now in Cheatham County near Cheap Hill. Sterling Shearin lived just over the line in Robertson Co.)

1878. (He was a brother to Joseph Oliver Smith. They had a
brother Abner Smith who married a Brewster. Emma Luella Hunter
was secondly married to Robert Lee (Bob) Perry)

9. FREDONIA TENNESSEE HUNTER was born 31 July 1865. (She was called
Tennie and was the maternal grandmother of Edna Z. Cabler. She
died 11 Oct 1947 and is buried in Smith Cemetery, Neptune Road,
Cheatham Co., Tennessee. She was married to Henry Abner Pardue,
Sr. in Cheatham Co., Tenn. on August 18, 1889. Her mother Mary
Ann (Bell) Hunter died in June 1891 and was buried in Smith
Cemetery.)
