Lucille R. Hughes,of Palmyra, died Sunday at her home after an extended illness. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m., today at the Jarman Cemetery, Canann Community with the Rev. Lloyd Ashby officating.

Mrs. Hughes was born Jan. 18, 1918 in Montgomery County. She was the daughter of the late Richard Knox Rives and Rosa Erma Jarman Rives.

Survivors include her husband, Sidney Hughes; two sons, Earl Hughes, Alaska, Floyd Lee Hughes, Texas: one daughter Sylvia Byard, Palmyra: three sisters, Willie Mae Sivels and Irma Davis both of Hackberry Community; Athena Lyle, Palmyra; 11 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tony Kennedy, Michael Jackson, Randy Davis, Earl Byard, Chris Byard and Randy Byard.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. today at Sykes Funeral Home. Sykes Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
