Clara Elizabeth Hodge, 66 died
Tuesday night in Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville, following an extended
illness. She was a resident of A-3 Chateau Apartments.
Services will be conducted at
1 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave Chapel by the Rev. Billy R. Jones, the
Rev. J.D. Golden and the Rev. Owen Baggett.
Following services here, the body
will be taken to Tucker Funeral Home, Marion, Ky., Services will be conducted
at 1 p.m. Saturday at Freedom Baptist Church in Marion. Burial will be
in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hodge was born Sept.
7. 1913 in Houston County. daughter of the late Eddie Lee Burnaine and
Rosa Hunt Buranine. Her husband. Ray Millard Hodge, died in 1963. She was
a member of First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors are two sons, Donald
Johnson, Shepardsville, Ind.. and William E. Hodge, Dalton Ill.: eight
daughters, Betty Teeter, Rockford, Ill., Carroll Mitchel, Illinois, Ouida
Curtis and Shirley Edwards, Detroit. Mich., Annette Smith, Ann Baggett,
Donna Bishop and Janice Orr, all of Clarksville; one stepson, Ronald Hodge,
Elgin Ill; four stepdaughters, Barbara Hall, Lincoln Park, Mich., Velma
Prine, Tatum, Mich., Gale Sechick, Detroit and Gaye Chandler, Ionia, Mich.:
one brother, Walter Burnaine, Stewart, Tenn., one sister, Mary Hamilton,
Kingston Springs, Tenn; 54 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at McReynolds-Nave after
2 p.m. today.
