Plummer M. Hodges 78, died Sunday at Greenvalley Nursing Home, Dickson. A resident of Route 2, Cumberland Furnace, Mr. Hodges was a retired farmer and farm director for WDXN radio.
       Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Revs. Lexie Freeman and Leon Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery.  Mr. Hodges was born April 11, 1901 in Montgomery County. He was the son of the late W.T. and Lydia Jones Hodges.
       Survivors include his widow, Etha Harper Hodges; two sons, Plummer Hodges Jr. of Nashville and Dewey Hodges of San Jose, Calif.; a daughter, Dorothy Nolen of Louisville, Ky., three brothers, Freeman Hodges of Marion, Carmack Hodges of Claymont, Del., and Howard Hodges of Dickson; two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Osborne and Mrs. Eugene Buckner, both of Cumberland Furnace; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
       Pallbearers will be Michael Hodges, Patrick Hodges, Bailey Hodges, Thomas Elmer Hodges, Jasper E. Hodges, Derek Nolen, Ewing Buckner, James Howard Harris and B.R. Swift.
       Mr. Hodges was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 503, Cumberland Furnace.
