Jerrell Freeman Hodges, 86, Route
1, Cunningham, died Sunday at his home after an extended illness.
Services were at 2 p.m.
today at Marion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Ford and the
Rev. Lloyd Ashby officiating. Burial was in Marion United Methodist Church
Cemetery.
Mr. Hodges was born Aug. 8, 1896,
in Dickson County. He was the son of the late William Thomas and Lydia
Jones Hodges. A retired farmer, he was marred to Grace Harvey Hodges who
survives. He was a member of Marion United Methodist Church and of Slayden
Masonic Lodge No. 445.
Survivors in addition to his wife
include a daughter, Amanda J. Hodges, Nashville; two brothers, Carmack
Hodges, Claymont, Del., and Howard Hodges, Dickson; and two sisters, Mrs.
Pearl Osburn and Mrs. Lillian Buckner, both of Cumberland Furnace.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Hodges,
Jimmy Hodges, Billy McCurdy, Ewing Buckner, Plummer Hodges and Leon Ferrell.
McReynolds-Nave Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
