James Braxton Hodges, 85, Route
3, Clarksville, died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with the
Rev. William Corley officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. today at Neal-Tarpley Chapel.
He was born in Montgomery County
on Oct. 25, 1900, the son of Benjamin and Emma Talley Hodges.
He was a Methodist and a retired carpenter.
Survivors include two daughters,
Janie Phillips and Mildred Redford, both of Clarksville; a brother, Bill
Hodges, Augusta, Ga.; and 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
