1. Dr. George Bowling, along with his bro, James came to C'ville and est. the first ice factory here in 1881 (at Poston Spring atop Poston St. off College).

2. Dr. George married a Bugg.   James married a Sugg

3. They were born and reared on a Christian Co. farm and both were educated at Bethel College, Russellville. Dr. George got his medical degree from Vanderbilt.

4. Dr. George’s home can be sited today on the corner of 5th & Madison.
