Wickham, John William (1860 - 1915)
HOUSE, 52nd General Assembly, 1901-03; representing Montgomery County; Democrat. Born at Palmyra, Montgomery County, Jan 16, 1860; son of Robert L. and Elizabeth (Marsh) Wickham. Attended “common schools”; graduated in medicine, 1885, from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Davidson County. Married Oct 5, 1887, to Fannie E. Cunningham, of Palmyra; following death of her father during Civil War, she had been adopted by S. G. Wickham; no children by this marriage indicated. Practiced medicine and farmed at Palmary. Member Presbyterian Church, Free and Accepted Masons, Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Died in a Nashville hospital Nov 30, 1915; buried in Wickham family graveyard, Palmyra.
