<>Services for John A. Baker, 81, of Waverly, were held Saturday, May 5, at Luff-Bo­wen Funeral Home. Burial was in Rice Cemetery.  1973

Mr. Baker, a retired farm­er, was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

<>Survivors incude three daughters, Mrs. Katherine Berryman and Mrs. Sylvia Mayhew, both of Nashville, and Mrs. Knell Flowers of McEwen; a brother, Dee Baker of Charlotte; fifteen grandchil­dren and six great-grandchil­dren


Dickson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
