Juanita Rachel Maddux Baker, 70, of Tennessee Ride, a writer who wrote under the pen name Rachel Maddux, died Saturday at Trinity Hospital in Erin.
Private graveside services were at 11 am. Sunday at Kings Orchard, Mrs. Baker's home in Tennessee Ridge.
Mrs. Baker wrote "Walk in the Spring Rain" and "The Orchard Children" and several other books.
Public memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 3 at Kings Orchard.
She is survived by a daughter Melissa Baker of Tennessee Ridge.
Nave Funeral Home in Erin is in charge of arrangements.
