Private graveside services for Juanita Rachel Baker, 70, were held at 11 a.m. Nov. 20 at King's Orchard at Mrs. Baker's Home on Route 1, Tennessee Ridge, 1983
Mrs. Baker, who wrote under the pen name of Rachel Maddux, died Nov. 19 at Trinity Hospital in Erin after a long illness.
Mrs. Baker wrote "Walk in the Spring Rain" which was later made into a movie starring Ingrid Bergman. She also wrote "The Orchard Children" which was made into a T.V. movie. She authored several other books.
Public memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 3 at King's Orchard.
She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Baker of Tennessee Ridge.
Nave Funeral Home in Erin was in charge of arrangements.
