I Rebecca Applewhite of Montgomery county state of Tennessee of sane and disposing mind make this my last will and hereby revoke all others. Article 1st. I wish all my Just debts paid.
Article 2nd. I give to my son Harry Applewhite and my daughter Sarah Ann Jones the following negroes to be equally divided between then (viz) my negro woman Nelly and her child Frances

Emmy and her child Chloa Joanah and her child Ruth also my negro girl Jinny and my negro boys Stephen and Ned.
Article 3rd. I wish the ballance of my property of every description to go t_ my daughter Sarah Ann Jones.
Article 4th. I give to my son Benjamin Applewhite five shillings This is to show that I had not forgot my son who has had his just proportion of my estate. Witness my hand & seal this 27th of December 1834.
