            W.H. Griffin
        November 7, 1970

  William H. Griffin 88, died Saturday night at 8:45 p.m. in Memorial Hospital. He was a retired farmer.
  Funeral services will be conducted at Nave Funeral Home, Erin, Tues-day at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. E. T. Shauf and assisted by the Rev. Ted Malouf. Burial will be in Lockhart Cemetery.
  Mr. Griffin was the son of the late Billy and Margaret Hailburton Griffin. He was born Sept. 3, 1882 in Houston County and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lizzie Powers Griffin, Erin; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Wildfony, Cutahy, Calif.; four sons, George, Clarksville; Carmen, South Field, Mich. Hugh, Lakeside, Calif. and Thomas Griffin, Des Moines, Iowa; two brothers, Gradie and Dewey Griffin, both of Erin; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Parchman, Cumberland City, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
